A highly sought after preacher and author, Pastor E. Chip Owens helps people transform into the highest version of themselves. He draws from his extensive and varied experience as a husband, father, preacher, author and musician to lift and empower his audiences so that they can go on to spread light throughout the world.
A native of Decatur, Alabama, Pastor Owens accepted the divine call to ministry at the tender age of 15, following in the footsteps of his parents and grandfather. Over the last two decades, he’s served in numerous churches throughout the United States, holding a variety of principal roles including: Minister of Music and Worship Arts, Executive Pastor and Senior Pastor.
Pastor Chip and his wife are the senior leaders of the most powerful place in the East Atlanta metro area: Transformation Church- Atlanta, where they love people through the process of transforming the minds and hearts so they can transform the communities around them. They believe in a holistic approach to ministry emphasize that spirituality has an effect on every aspect of the human experience. God has blessed them to experience steady and healthy growth. He was recently appointed as the District Secretary for the Georgia District of the Global United Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Neil C. Ellis.

Pastor Owens holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Entertainment Media Production from the University of North Alabama and attended Morehouse School of Religion on the historic campus of the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia where he received a Master of Divinity degree. The ITC is world renowned for its work in finding faith-based solutions to the challenges confronting the African American community. He is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry degree at the Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA.
A prolific and accomplished writer, Pastor Owens published his first book, 21 Days of Worship: A Devotional for the Worshiper in You, in 2012 and his sophomore book Wake Up Dreamer 2019 to outstanding reviews. He is an esteemed member of the greatest fraternity on the face of the earth, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated as well as the NAACP. He was also a contributing writer for Covington News, covering the delicate issues surrounding faith and family in the modern world.
Pastor Owens’ many life passions include God, family, preaching and music. He is the proud husband of one beautiful and equally anointed wife, Pastor Lillian Kotey Owens, and the Father of two sons and one beautiful daughter. He firmly believes that God has blessed him so that he may bless others. He lives by this creed: "A man who focuses on his past to move toward his future is bound to stumble, but a man who appreciates his past and focuses on his future.
